Contact Enquiries
When you contact us through our form, we receive your name, email address and message. We use this information to respond to your enquiry.
Email subscriptions and free guides
When you sign up for a free guide, we use your email address to send a confirmation request, deliver your guide after confirmation, and send the occasional Neuro Archives psychology insights and product offers described on the signup form.
We use MailerLite to manage subscriptions and send these emails. MailerLite processes your email address, subscription status and records of your signup and confirmation. Its service may also process technical information, such as your IP address.
Our emails use tracking technologies to record email opens and link clicks. We use this information to understand engagement and improve our emails. These measurements are not always accurate.
You can withdraw your consent to marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting info@neuroarchives.com. Unsubscribing stops future marketing emails; it does not automatically delete all subscription records.
For information about MailerLite’s processing, see its Privacy Policy.
Purchases and payments
When you purchase a digital product, we use Easy Digital Downloads to record your order and provide access to your files. Order information includes your name, email address, products purchased, payment amount and transaction status. Billing details may also be processed where required for checkout.
Payments are processed by PayPal. Information needed to complete and verify your payment is shared with PayPal, which handles payment information under its own privacy statement. We do not receive your PayPal password.
We use purchase information to fulfil your order, send receipts and download links, provide customer support, manage refunds and maintain transaction records. Buying a product does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails.
You can read PayPal’s privacy statement at https://www.paypal.com/privacy.
Why we use personal information
We rely on your consent to send marketing emails and use optional analytics and marketing cookies. You can withdraw email consent through the unsubscribe link and change cookie preferences through our cookie settings.
We process information necessary to respond to your requests, fulfil purchases, deliver files and provide related support. We also retain and use information where necessary to meet applicable legal obligations.
Providing information is voluntary, but we cannot respond to an enquiry, deliver an emailed guide or complete a purchase without the information needed for that service. Please provide accurate details, particularly your email address, so that messages and download links reach you.
Cookies
We use the cookieadmin_consent cookie to remember your cookie choices for 365 days. Our latest homepage scan also detected Google Analytics cookies (_ga and ga…), with reported lifetimes of up to 400 days.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
You can review and change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the cookie settings icon on our website and selecting Save Preferences.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website, including which pages they visit and how they reach the site. This helps us improve our content and website.
Embedded content from other websites
Our articles may include embedded YouTube videos that you can watch directly on our website.
YouTube videos are blocked until you accept marketing cookies. If you choose not to accept them, the embedded videos will remain unavailable.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
We use Namecheap to host our website and email, and Google Analytics to understand website use. These services may process visitor information as part of providing their services. When you send a contact enquiry, your message is delivered to our email account.
We also use MailerLite to manage email subscriptions and deliver our free guides and marketing emails.
We also share information necessary to process and verify payments with PayPal, as described in “Purchases and payments” above.
International processing
Our hosting, email, analytics and payment providers operate internationally. Your information may therefore be processed outside Ecuador, including in the United States and Europe, to host the website, deliver emails, analyse website use and process payments.
Namecheap and MailerLite publish data-processing agreements describing their contractual protections and arrangements with service providers. Google and PayPal also publish information about their international processing and transfer safeguards. The arrangements applicable to your information depend on the service and relevant law.
For further information, consult the providers’ privacy notices and data-processing terms, or contact info@neuroarchives.com.
How long we retain your data
We retain routine contact enquiry emails for up to 12 months after the enquiry is resolved, then delete them.
Our Google Analytics settings retain event data for 2 months and user data for 14 months. The retention period for user identifiers resets with new activity. Aggregated reports may remain available for longer.
We retain email subscription information while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we stop marketing emails and retain only the records reasonably needed to honour your opt-out, document consent and meet applicable legal obligations.
We retain purchase records for as long as needed to provide your downloads and customer support, handle refunds or disputes, and meet applicable accounting and legal obligations. We periodically review these records and delete or anonymise personal information that is no longer needed, where permitted.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, you may request access to, correction or updating of, deletion of, restriction or suspension of processing of, or portability of your personal information. You may also object to certain processing and withdraw consent where processing depends on it. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.
To exercise your rights or raise a privacy complaint, contact info@neuroarchives.com. Describe your request and the information concerned. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and will respond within the applicable legal timeframe.
You may also submit a complaint to Ecuador’s Superintendencia de Protección de Datos Personales. Information about its procedures is available at https://www.spdp.gob.ec.
